Cristian Popescu has won the 2004 Simion Stoilow Prize of the Romanian Academy of Science for his paper, "Base Change for Stark-type Conjectures over Z" (Journal fur die Reine und Angew. Mathematik, Vol 542 (2002), pp 85-111).
